General administration of customs: in the first eight months, furniture exports totaled 240 billion yuan, up 8.1% year on year

Recently, the general administration of customs released the import and export data of foreign trade for the previous eight months. Among them, the export value of furniture and its components was 29.71 billion yuan in August.

From January to August 2019, China’s foreign trade totaled 20.13 trillion yuan, up 3.6 percent from the same period last year. The global economy as a whole is in the doldrums. There is no turning point in 2020, and it is unlikely that market demand will pick up. In addition, the rise of protectionist sentiment in other countries will also bring adverse effects on China’s foreign trade. In spite of this, the market space is expanding continuously, the policies are increasing, the enterprises themselves are innovating constantly, and their ability to cope with the external environment is improving. The foreign trade environment is generally cautiously optimistic.
